Patch Meaning |
|
| Colors: | Red, white, and blue colors represent United States flag. The colors are also used on South Korean flag. Red and blue the school colors and the colors of the stripes on school walls, on the school letterhead logo, and on DeeseTKD.com web site. Red, white, blue, and yellow colors compliment the Taekwondo America patch worn on left side of our Taekwondo uniform. |
| Eagles: | Bald eagle is associated with the United States and is on Taekwondo America round patch located on back of uniform. Screaming eagle is on school letterhead logo. |
| Yin/Yang: | Shape of red and blue colored background, along with the eagle heads, represents the Yin/Yang (Um/Yang) symbol. Yin/Yang is an oriental symbol that represents the opposite forces of good and evil, light and dark, sun and moon, heat and cold, etc. that are in constant struggle with each other. Yin/Yang symbol is located on all Taekwondo America certificates and is also on the South Korean flag. |
