Fall Camp at Camp Hanes, in King NC
See Calendar for camp dates.
Taekwondo America conducts training camps twice a year for students 8 years of age and above:
Summer Camp: in June for black belts only
Fall Camp: in November for orange belts and above
At camps, numerous clinics are conducted daily that concentrate on specific areas of training, such as patterns, self-defense, sparring, etc. Clinics are conducted by high ranking Taekwondo America black belts from all over the United States. Sometimes, black belts from other styles of martial arts conduct clinics to familiarize campers with other martial arts styles and with martial art weapons. Campers may attend as many of the clinics as they wish.
Numerous other activities are scheduled each day for fun and relaxation, such as Hoover ball, soccer, and soft ball. An informal competition is usually conducted on the last day of the camp. Also, there are always numerous activities offered by the facility at which the camp is conducted, such as rock climbing, swimming, and hiking.
Training camps give attendees an opportunity to:
Train with different instructors and masters from around the United States and world
Perfect their present techniques and learn new techniques
Socialize with other Taekwondo students from around the region and country
And most of all—have fun!
